Welcome Summer!!!

We definatley remembered all the veterans this whole weekend. My Grandpa, Gerald's maternal Grandpa, and Gerald's Dad are veterans we keep close to our hearts . We also remembered the soldiers who are fighting now, Gerald's older sister being one of them. America's Soldiers are "who keep our world turnin' round", and we will never be able to Thank them enough.

Here's our "unofficial" start of summer..

Friday night we had a pizza party and just chilled at home waiting for the weekend to start!!

Saturday I shot my first wedding. Unfortunatley it RAINED at the OUTDOOR wedding!! The ceremony was original set in the front yard with PLENTY of space. But when the rain started coming they had to move it under a tent, which didn't leave much room. The rain definatley presented a huge problem for getting good photos! I'll post some photo's in a future post.

We left the wedding and got home at about 8:45, where we changed and headed to the Fredricksburg Crawfish Festival where Brandon Rhyder was playing!! I really don't know many of his songs, but Gerald does!! I just LOVE LOVE festivals, carnivals, rodeos etc.We had [we=Gerald] Crawfish Gumbo, which was very spicy, but otherwise good!! We had lots of fun listening, watching & DANCING!!!

I don't know this couple but I thought they were cute with that little baby..he was just two weeks old, they were just all in there own world away from the crowd dancing, and looked SOO happy!!

Sunday began our First Camping Trip of the Summer!! Early sunday afternoon we packed the truck with camping gear and headed out west....to Gerald's grandparents in Hye :)!! When we got down to the river it was as clear as could be, and Tanya said they hadn't had any rain all day!! The bugs weren't bad, it wasn't hot and the sounds of nature were beautiful!! How many of you have ever heard a wipper will??I hadn't!! Gerald and Tim were able to fish and catch up! I am always so happy when they get to spend time with together. Gerald really looks up to his big brother :) And I got to hang out at the campsite with Tanya, her mom, and the boys!! They are freakin' ADORABLE!!

We stayed until Monday at about noon, packed up and headed back east!! As I was going through our photos I realized I didn't get any of me and Gerald or our campsite..sorry :(. Monday afternoon we just chilled at home and waited for the work week to begin..Holiday weekends are faboulous but UGHH going back afterwards is awful!!! But like Celsete said it's only a four day work week!!


Tonight we finished the little league season!! In two weeks we have the "End of Season party for all those little guys!!! The season was lots of fun, Gerald definatley had more time to enjoy it than I did!!!.It's bittersweet that it is over, but we THINK Chase is being selected for ALL STARS. I will be posting Little League pictures soon!!!
