Welcome 2010! We look forward to this New Year and all the blessings it will bring to us. We are most excited for our entrance into the Catholic Church which will be on Saturday April 3, 2010, we look forward to the possibility of another vacation [can we say skiing, or NYC, or some white sand??] but what's most exciting is at the end of this year I will (cross your fingers I pass) will be an LVN!!
We said to Farewell to 2009 in traditional fashion at Grandma's in Rocky Creek! This year I found a game online that also could double as sweet decor. They will be called "Fortune Balloons" and each of them were filled with a fortune for the New Year, and had a tooth pick tied to the string to be used to pop the balloon.
Gerald went to the back yard and created a fire for the way cold weather, we had fixings for S'mores but I think it was just so cold that we did them in the microwave.
I think this picture of Tay captures the evening perfectly. We had drinks (*they had),Grandma's yummy buñuelos, fireworks, and cold weather!
Darnell was our official Firework man!
We had all kinds of fireworks but this one was my favorite!
Our first of many pictures in 2010!
After bringing in the New Year, and freezing our toes off we went inside to pop balloons and read our fortunes!
Then we retired to the kitchen table where we played Apples to Apples and waited for Kris' arrival. Of course we didn't make it that late, most left or fell asleep...
We love all of Kris' stays but this one felt so short. We just spent time being a family, and catching up. On Friday night we went to PEC and played in then lights...
Here we are spinning under the lights.. I don't know if that was the best idea for my leading man..
Before Kris & PJ left we were able to snap a Family Picture!
