It's A Texas Thang

Hope y'all had a great weekend!! Our's was great, and busy!!! Who knew the weather was getting cold on Friday??? Not us, we were in shorts and tshirts at the little league field..for an hour and a half!!!! It was freezing!! Saturday the bank participated in the chili cookoff, but there were several categories, not just chili so the title is a bit misleading!! So, Gerald and I went and hung out for awhile. While we were there we ran into Sid & Jenn. The bank didn't win, but Sid got fifth with his chicken. The cookoff was pretty cool, we had never been before and it was neat to be tourists in our own town!! Then later that afternoon Gerald had his first little league game in Blanco!! We won 14-6!! Yay for the Cubs. Those little boys were adorable and they say the funniest things!! In the dugout one little boy wanted skittles from the other one, and as a bribe he said "I'll tell you where our secret hideout is...only if you give me a skittle!!!" Then we went home Gerald grilled us ribeyes, and I made baked potatoes, beans (out of the can) and brownies. For Christmas Woodrose Winery gave me a bottle of wine. I finally decided we should at least try it, so we did!!! I guess if your a wine drinker, it may have been good,but to us it tasted like medicine. :/...we both took a sip and poured the rest away!
