The Peach Jamboree is, the biggest event Stonewall has, and for the past two years Gerald and I have volunteered. This year we sold drink tickets during the dance on Friday night! It was fun and when we were done we had a little bit of time to dance..loved it!!
Saturday morning we were in the JAMboree Parade, and then headed to Fredericksburg for the final game of the All-Star Tournaments! We had so much fun watching Chase grow into an even better ball player than when he started in March. He is doing so good, and enjoys the game. During their last game on Saturday he hit a TRIPLE!! The play was probably the most precious one we saw all year. Ask me about it next time you see me!! Saturday night we just went to the JAMboree to enjoy it, no obligations or volunteer duties!! It was fun, I think for the first time ever I sat through the whole rodeo. We saw a guy get pushed around (trampled) by a bull, and another one got stepped on ehhhh...no thanks!! Then we stayed for the dance and enjoyed being with each other!!
Last week was Gerald's nephew's (Jose) birthday, but we had other plans and missed his party :( so Sunday we went to their house to drop his present off and visit with them!! Then we got home and got some much needed R&R..kind of..I am currently editing a lifetime of wedding photos :)! We watched Pearl Harbor, and I think it's my new favorite movie. I have seen it before, but for some reason I really appreciated it this time. This was my favorite quote in the three hour movie "Victory belongs to those who believe in it the most and believe in it the longest. We're gonna believe. We're gonna make America believe too." Then came the work week!!
Here's my Side Note (technically bottom note):
I have had no interest in following the Jon & Kate show. But this morning they were talking about it on the Bobby Bones Show, which I religiously listen to in the AM's. Jon & Kate are both absolutely appalling to me. DO NOT plaster your "separation" across the nation, especially since one day your children will see have to see that. The media needs to leave them alone, and they need to end that show. For the kids. It drives me NUTS that they say the show is for the kids, it's absolutely not,use your heads and realize how you are hurting them, and depriving them of normalcy. I will step off my soap box now....Oh and take no offense if you like that show, this is just my opinon!

There is nothing precious about baseball... and as for Jon and Kate, you have to watch the show and know them to understand it all!
