Valentine's Day.

What a sweet & simple day we had!! Like I said, last year was just to much work for both of us! So this year was much more low key and during the day to avoid the crowds! My morning was started with a dozen red roses on the table with yummy pastry's from The Blanco Bowling Alley!

After breakfast we got ready for the day and then exchanged gifts!! In my gift bag was a new JA charm for my bracelet, the movie Fireproof (we finished the Love Dare!!), and a little box of Chocolates. My gift to Gerald was a basket full of all his favorite junk food! If you have ever been in the same room as Gerald then it won't be difficult for you to imagine how excited he was for this gift!!

And he said he's not sharing!!

Then we headed out on our date!! Gerald chose to take me to Hill's Cafe, a place he has wanted to go since this summer! It was a lot of fun and an awesome atmosphere!!

We enjoyed a yummy lunch and then sat and listened to the live band!!

I follow a couple of different photographer's blogs and this one is my absolute favorite! I love the dreamy, clean, feel of her photos! Anyways- in August she had a shoot at Big Top Candy Shop and since then I have wanted to go! So- for our Valentine's Dessert that's where we headed, and you must go too! The place is so super cool!

The Candy Shop is very vintage, and eclectic...

There were TONS of candy, ice cream, soda, pretty much SUGAR selections, and the staff was so helpful when it came to making recommendations!

I really mean TONS of options, even Chocolate Covered Bacon. We got the bacon, and tried it. I didn't care for it to much. But we did bring some extra and Kelsey and Grandma liked it!

We also enjoyed the BEST strawberry malt ever!! It took like 5 minutes for them to make it the old fashioned way!

We really enjoyed our low key Valentine's Day Date and the time we spent together!
