ACTS Retreat.

Over my Spring Break my "big" treat was going on the ACTS Retreat. At first I was REALLY nervous about going. I seriously- had ZERO idea as what to expect. But honestly even if I had known what to expect I could have never prepared myself for all of the very special and real feelings and experiences that I brought home with me. My relationship with Christ was further developed in ways that I can NEVER write into words. It's my prayer that each one of you experience something like this with an open mind and heart!

This was our "Theme" for the weekend, so I feel it's fitting for my blog!!

"Do not store up for yourselves treasure on earth where moth and decay destroys, and thieves break in and steal. But store up treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there also your heart be. Matthew 6:19-21.

For me this verse was perfect! I often get "bogged" down with materialism of our world and feel like I start to forget my "true treasures". But this verse really is such a TRUE realization of what the real treasures of this life are.. Love for/of God & Family. NOTHING else matters, in the end those are the only two things you will have left so I try to treasure them always! On a daily basis I ask Christ to keep that in the front of my mind and on my heart.Anyways--Loved the verse and the MANY different meanings! :)
