Easter.

In my mind Easter isn't quite Easter without decorating Easter Eggs!! So, as if we didn't have enough plans on the Saturday before Easter, Gerald and I decided to decorate eggs, just the two of us! It was fun and they turned out all right!

The most exciting thing that happened that day was our Initiation into the Catholic Church. I can't begin to share the emotions that I shared with Gerald making the greatest commitment of our lives. The commitment to Christ. Whether Gerald and I stay together for the rest of our lives or not we will always share this special moment together. I know that making this HUGE commitment brought us closer than ever, we have discussed so many real things-- marriage, sex, commitments, family's, giving, sharing, temptations, abortion ( which was a rocky road because we were on TOTALLY different spectrum's), believing, faith, the list just continues-- on such a deep level in total openness with others that we as a couple have grown an incredible amount. If it is God's Will for us to spend forever together then I know sharing such special moments and making such a great commitment will keep us close ALWAYS. Wayne- I am so blessed to have so a wonderful man like you to share this with. Thank You.

Our evening began with Celeste & Adolfo meeting us and giving us sweet presents from them & Aunt Rita & Uncle Curt. Then we headed out west :) with a quick pit stop at the Weinheimer's to get a gift from them & the Hampton's! Thanks everyone for the sweet gifts (Gerald's Sister Sandra also gave us one) that are now in our home to remind us everyday of Christ's Love! We arrived a bit early so we took some pictures. Us with Aunt Rita & Uncle Curt ( our sponsors)!

What a special moment! I missed Gerald Baptism--I had the camera and was so caught in the moment that I totally forgot pictures-So I gladly handed my camera off to Celeste and she captured the rest! Thank You!!

Gerald getting Confirmed!!

Me getting Confirmed!

This is those of us who only needed some of the Sacraments..

And the four that were Baptized, Received the Eucharist and Confirmed!! Cool story-- Dani (the blond) and her husband had a Wedding Ceremony immediately following the Easter Vigil. They were already married just not in the church! It was so special! Sorry Celeste & Adolfo for making y'all wait!

And us with Father Enda McKenna. We seriously love this man! He is so sweet and very special in our hearts! I think when if retires and moves back to Ireland I am going to go with him :) But seriously--such a special person!

We spent Easter Sunday at Grandma's! Gerald grilled Burgers and we had all the fixings. Then the Walker & Buentello family's came for dessert!! So happy that most of us were together that day!
