Celebrating Gerald.

Friday marked 24 years for Gerald. I am so proud of the places he has been and the places we will go together. I can't wait to see what God has in store for him in year 25.
"But as it is written: "What eye has not seen, and ear has not heard, and what has not entered the human heart, what God has prepared for those who love him," ~1 Corinthians 2:9

He wanted low key (which translates to: Heather- I don't want a party) so we kept it simple. Really Simple. After work we loaded up and went to Seguin to watch the JC Eagles play some football! Lucky for me I seriously do enjoy watching high school footbal. I think it is the simplicity of the game for them, free of any real pressures. Unfortunatley, the game wasn't to pretty. None the less it was fun!
After the game we just had a simple dinner of Whataburger. When we got home at about midnight Gerald opened his gift, a circular saw. I actually listened to him this year and got him exactly what he wanted!

Yesterday was simple. For me, Christmas arrives when we start giving to Christmas J.O.Y and that's just what we did on Saturday. We spent about four hours shopping for five little ones!! Then we came home and were able to visit with George and Kaci for awhile.
Today we have spent the day here at Grandma's. Gerald is working on her bathroom and I am shelling and chopping pecans for some pies on Thanksgiving! Yummy...I'm excited to use Fresh Pecans straight from Grandma!
