And to start off with, one of my favorite Bible passages that helps to remind me to be patient!
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot the plant.
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to tear down, and a time to build.
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance.
A time to scatter stones, and a time to gather them; a time to embrace, and a time to be far from embraces.
A time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away.
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to be silent, and a time to speak.
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
We finished the little league season off with Chase. This year Gerald ended up being more of a spectator than a Coach but none the less we enjoyed being there just to give him a hug after the game. And we got some good time in with Ryan. You can definitely see this little boys improving and becoming more competitive.
We paused our lives long enough to go and enjoy Gruene Texas and the Guadalupe River with Celeste and Adolfo, and then that week the river flooded! Glad we were able to enjoy it before then. Those are Celeste's toes in the camera..so that means all of us were in the photo. At the beginning of the trip I was so worried about everybody staying "safe" through the rapids, and not losing anything. The first rapid came and I wiped out, and lost my sunglasses :(..actually Kelsey's sunglasses.
We also got to hang out with this little guy a lot. Myles is so cute and lovable and listens so well! We surely consider him to be one of the greatest blessings in our lives!
Then we were so lucky to get to spend about three weeks with the Arizonian's or is it Arizonites?? Again we had BBQ's, and lots of food, and fun in the backyard!
While Kris and PJ were here Charlotte was so nice to let us borrow her lake house for the weekend! We enjoyed playing innocent basketball, some tense four square and some CRAZY ridiculous Capture the Flag, and I can't forget the exciting Monopoly game at the end of the night that went into the morning. Kelsey ended up winning by default and only because Kris went bankrupt and gave her all his money!
I think this is one of my all time favorite pictures!!Our Old Navy Tradition!
July marked the end of our Garden. I guess the heat just got to much to bear for it, but it produced great up to then! I was just happy that Gerald was able to have something from his childhood! It was nice to go out there with him in the evening and share our stories of growing up and being in the Garden!
The end of July really picked up for me at school. That's when we stared our clinical's at the Kerrville State Hospital, they were twelve hour days twice a week. It was a good transition/taste of what "real work" is going to be like. I totally enjoyed my Mental Health rotation and find myself contemplating that as my permanent area!August celebrated Kelsey's fifteen years...seriously?
She looked absolutely purty--but don't tell her I said that!
At the beginning of October we took Darnell to a Spur's open practice and got tickets for two games, so for three weeks in October Darnell and Gerald enjoyed watching the Spurs kick off there season!
