I love love love Christmas time! Seriously- the cold weather, twinkling lights, warm homes, friendly people--I cold never get rid of it! I've even contemplated putting my decorations up at the beginning of November and leaving them until Valentines. Unfortunately for me the boss of the house won't allow that! Since I only have from Thanksgiving to New Year's enjoy every minute! I guess to really sum it up Christmas Time reminds me of what a blessing we have in what I consider to be a simply wonderful life!
"Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests."
-Luke 2:14
Last weekend we got to light up our house with the prettty lights...and decorations inside!! Most of it's the same from last year (which you can see here!) with a few fun new decorations!
Outside..that we..or Gerald...worked hard on! I LOVE LOVE all the pretty lights!!!
I'm loving our Advent wreath! We decided against a calender and opted for a wreath because we thought we would enjoy the anticipation of a weekly candle lighting !
On Friday we gave back to the community by helping work the Christmas J.O.Y Funnel booth at Light's Spectacular..
And enjoyed the Miners Maze...which supports the YCAP! Very cool and if you are in JC during it you should definitely go!

Very cool and if you are in JC during it you should definitely go!This weekend...although I ABSOLUTELY had to study...we did get a bit of Christmas Celebration in..but only on Friday night..We went and had a little "mini" date at the new Pizza Place in town!! I loved the people that own it..super nice and the pizza was yummy in my tummy!
Saturday we did some Christmas shopping and then..for the rest of the weekend we wasted our lives away to school :/! Not really...I know what a blessing it is to have the ability to further my education..but reallly.. The most excitement that we had on Sunday was when we were sitting in the den and we heard a "Thump!" we didn't think much but then Kelsey investigated and found this little guy...a white winged dove.. who had flown into the window.
Unfortunately he had a gunshot wound and couldn't fly and was in pain ( exhibited by those sweet eyes rolling all around) and we had to shoot him...anyway's pretty random....
After that we went and enjoyed the Living Nativity that the Methodist Church host's each year..it was sweet and a good way to Remember the Reason for the Season!

Then following the Living Nativity we went and enjoyed the Blanco County Community Choir's Christmas Pagent. It was peacefully wonderful! Now, I'm back to getting my head in my book so I can move on with this Nursing thing!
