First things First! Remember my Wonderful Life post...well for our efforts we are proud to say we got 3rd place!! We were seriously so surprised! We entered the contest with the thought.."You can't win if you don't try" and then made a big joke about it. But on the night they judge we were totally surprised with this sweet sign! At the end of season sales I wanted to buy all kinds of decorations to really compete next year. But, the Boss said it's not fun to compete, it's fun to celebrate the season. So there you have it, we will decorate as normal and be pleasantly surprised.
"And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth"
~ Luke 1:14
Now onto our 4th Annual Cookie Party
Hosted by yours truly!

Some fun table decorations! Might I add they all came from the Dollar Tree. (well not the icing!). My favorite part of them was figuring out to use wrapping paper as a table runner!
More decorations...notice the banner. I made that with a printer, some ribbon and scrapbook paper. It was much more work than it appears to be. Also notice the candles--those are just simple candles and then I used scrapbook paper to spruce them up a bit!
Cookies ready to be judged!
Our reigning champ! That mess just makes my heart smile! I see comfort and love and tradition...or maybe just messy people :)
We capped the night off by learning how to take the gifts to the alter during mass..so funny! I really like this photo..nothing spectacular except the specialness of our family!
And one last picture for the road..or Grandma!
